Summer Concert Series: The Brazilianaires

The Brazilianaires are a Nevada City based duo. Florencia Dunayevich, vocals, and Stephen Holland, vocals and guitar, play an all Brazilian and Latin American repertoire, from Brazilian bossa nova and sambas, to Argentine milongas and Peruvian popular songs, they cover a wide range of South American music.

Florencia grew up in Buenos Aires, studying voice, piano, and music theory at conservatory, before moving to the US to attend college. Stephen traveled widely in Latin America, collecting music and concertizing. He has lectured in world music at a variety of institutions in CA, and holds degrees in in world music and music performance.
